Your license. Your Mac.
Set up Griddl, activate your license, find an invoice, or manage annual billing. Your Personal License covers one Mac at a time, with permanent use of covered versions.
Supported Macs and setup
Griddl supports Apple-silicon Macs running macOS 26 or 27. You can use a keyboard and mouse; an Apple trackpad is optional for gestures.
Griddl works with screen mirroring and AirPlay. For extended displays, turn on Displays have separate Spaces in macOS System Settings → Desktop & Dock → Mission Control. Griddl moves eligible windows between ordinary desktop Spaces on the same display. Movement involving full-screen Spaces or different displays is outside the initial movement scope. Sidecar is outside the initial support scope. Some windows cannot be moved.
Follow Griddl’s setup prompts in this order:
- Window control lets Griddl find, focus and move windows. Use Open System Settings to enable Accessibility on macOS 26 or Device Control and Data Access on macOS 27.
- Screen capture lets Griddl show window previews. Choose Allow screen capture and follow the macOS prompt for Screen & System Audio Recording. Return to Griddl after granting access, and complete Quit & Reopen if macOS requests it.
- Automatic previews lets Griddl build Space previews without asking you to select each window. Choose Check previews and respond to the macOS prompt.
Griddl does not record audio or save screenshots. Preview images stay in memory on your Mac. Griddl never uploads your window titles, screenshots or desktop contents. Its licensing and update connections are separate from screen capture.
If setup remains incomplete, contact tyler@griddl.app with your Griddl version, macOS version and the step or message shown. Enter any Mac password only into macOS.
Activate Griddl
- Open your Griddl trial. If you need the app, check official download availability.
- Find your license key. Look in your Lemon Squeezy order or receipt. You can also sign in to My Orders with the email you used to buy.
- Open Settings → License from Griddl’s menu-bar icon.
- Paste your key into License code. During the trial, choose Activate license. On the activation-required screen, choose Activate Griddl.
- Stay online until activation finishes. You’ll see License active on this Mac and the date through which your updates are covered.
Your initial purchase includes one year of updates. When coverage ends, the versions already covered by your license remain yours to use.
Find a missing receipt or license key
Open My Orders with your purchase email, then open your Griddl order to find your license key. In Griddl, open Settings → License and enter it in License code.
If you cannot access the order, email Tyler with your order number or purchase email. If you no longer have access to that mailbox, include the order number if available, approximate purchase date, and amount and currency. Tyler will review ownership before changing access. These details alone do not guarantee recovery.
Please do not send your license key, passwords, login links, one-time codes or payment-card details. Enter your license key only in Griddl.
Paid, but Griddl has not activated
Stay online and open Settings → License. Enter the complete key from your order; if Retry pending activation is shown, choose it.
If activation still fails, send Tyler your order number or purchase email, the exact message, Griddl version and macOS version. Hold off on another purchase while the payment and activation are checked. Keep your existing Griddl settings and Keychain items.
Successful activation shows License active on this Mac and your update-coverage date. If it says the license is already active on another Mac, follow the Mac transfer steps. If it says this version is outside your update coverage, send Tyler the version and coverage date so the appropriate next step can be checked.
Manage annual billing
Open Manage billing to view invoices, update your payment method, or cancel future annual renewals. Sign in with your purchase email if prompted.
Canceling keeps your covered versions and the update time you’ve already paid for. You do not need a separate update purchase while your annual subscription covers your updates.
Annual purchases completed before January 1, 2027 at midnight Pacific cost $24.99 initially, then $14.99 per year. That renewal rate stays locked while you remain continuously subscribed. Resume before the paid subscription expires to keep it.
New annual subscriptions starting January 1, 2027 cost $24.99 initially, then $19.99 per year. Existing continuous launch subscriptions keep their $14.99 rate. If a subscription expires, rejoining uses the initial purchase price and renewal rate offered then. You never need to repurchase just to keep using covered versions.
All prices are in USD, before applicable taxes.
Find your initial-purchase invoice
- Open your original Lemon Squeezy receipt and follow its link to your Griddl order.
- Choose Generate Invoice on that original order.
- Enter your billing details directly in Lemon Squeezy and download the invoice.
If you cannot find the receipt, open My Orders using the email you used at checkout, then select your Griddl order. Open any sign-in link yourself; do not forward it to support.
For an initial annual purchase, use the original order when you need the setup fee itemized. For a later annual renewal, open that renewal’s payment in Billing History through Manage billing or your order’s subscription details. The original-purchase invoice does not document a later renewal. If the payment or invoice is unavailable, contact Tyler with its order or invoice number and the problem you see.
If an item or total looks wrong, describe the difference to tyler@griddl.app. Please hide personal and payment details in any screenshot.
Pay once and optional updates
Pay once costs $24.99, includes one year of updates, and has no automatic renewal. After that, choose whether to buy another year of updates at the price offered then.
Open Griddl → Settings → License to manage your update coverage. A one-time update purchase extends your existing license: keep the same key. It does not start an annual subscription.
If you have annual updates, use Manage billing instead of buying another license. If you’re unsure which option you purchased, check your receipt or contact Tyler before buying more updates.
Covered versions keep working after update coverage ends. Permanent use does not guarantee compatibility with every future macOS version.
Move to another Mac
Move from an old Mac you can still use
- Connect the old Mac to the internet.
- Open Griddl → Settings → License → Deactivate This Mac and confirm.
- Once deactivation succeeds, connect the replacement Mac and activate with the same key.
Your perpetual license and paid update coverage stay with the purchase. Deactivation does not cancel annual billing or issue a refund. If deactivation fails, contact Tyler before buying another license or deleting app data.
Your old Mac is lost, broken, erased or inaccessible
Email tyler@griddl.app, preferably from your purchase email, with your order number if available and the activation message on the replacement Mac. Say that you cannot access the old Mac.
Tyler will verify the purchase and review the occupied seat before confirming the next step. This is a manual support request; there is no automatic reset or guaranteed turnaround. If a seat release is confirmed, activate normally on the replacement Mac with your existing key and tell Tyler whether activation succeeds and Grid opens.
Releasing a seat does not remotely erase the old Mac or guarantee that a cached offline copy stops working.
Get help with a purchase
Email tyler@griddl.app with your purchase email or order number and the message you see. For activation problems, see activation help.
Full refunds are available when requested within 14 calendar days of your initial purchase, annual update renewal or one-time update purchase. An initial-purchase refund includes any setup fee. The window starts on the charge date, whether or not you used the free trial.
To request a refund, email tyler@griddl.app with your order number or purchase email. You do not need to prove a defect or complete troubleshooting. Requests received after 14 days are reviewed individually. Canceling future renewals does not automatically refund an earlier charge. See the 14-day refund policy.
A refunded update charge preserves your original perpetual license; its associated update coverage may need separate review.
Please keep license keys, passwords, login links, one-time codes and payment-card details out of support messages.
